  1. Apple Announces a 160MB, 5.25", 18ms internal hard disk for Macintosh(R) II and Macintosh IIx;  or an external hard disk for all Macintosh models with SCSI port.

  5. Product Description: A 160MB, 5.25", 18ms internal hard disk for Macintosh(R)
  6. II and Macintosh IIx; or an external hard disk for all Macintosh models with
  7. SCSI port.

  9. Significance:  The new drive is the ideal solution for file server, A/UX(R),
  10. and other applications requiring a high-capacity, high-performance hard disk.
  11. With the introduction of the 160MB drive, Apple now offers a full line of hard
  12. disks that meets the needs of most Macintosh users.

  14. Availability: March 7 in limited quantities.  Full, immediate availability in
  15. all U. S. channels is expected by the end of March.

  17. Price: Suggested retail price of $2,599.

  19. Please note: The Apple Hard Disk 160SC is currently available only as an
  20. internal drive.   An external version of the drive will be available this
  21. summer.
