II and Macintosh IIx; or an external hard disk for all Macintosh models with
SCSI port.
Significance: The new drive is the ideal solution for file server, A/UX(R),
and other applications requiring a high-capacity, high-performance hard disk.
With the introduction of the 160MB drive, Apple now offers a full line of hard
disks that meets the needs of most Macintosh users.
Availability: March 7 in limited quantities. Full, immediate availability in
all U. S. channels is expected by the end of March.
Price: Suggested retail price of $2,599.
Please note: The Apple Hard Disk 160SC is currently available only as an
internal drive. An external version of the drive will be available this
summer.
